The Mia model is a chest of drawers. With Mia one can organize different things depending on the various sizes and the quantity of drawers chosen.
Mia exists in four varieties of size:
1. a low oblong format with three drawers, 2. a low oblong format with two additional drawers on the top (five altogether), 3. with three drawers besides (six altogether) or, 4. as a narrow upright format with seven drawers.
Sizes are individually defined to accommodate everything from the stationary to the textiles - in the office or at home. The four variations offer a huge spectrum of facility interpretation.
The design basis consists of shapes and materials of consequence: No metall is used for the legs or the drawer handles. In fact, everything is made of the same laquer finished MDF.
At the front side of each drawer, a half circle shaped cut is the grip or handle. This idea is repeated at the foot of each side of Mia and creates a purposeful symmetry in the overall form.
A Mia model is a high-value product: the back side of the chest of drawers is made of solid wood. The feet of the models are protected on the bottom to avoid damages from moving.
Formal reduction without the compromise of formal integrity is the intention of a Mia model - Mia is tres chique.
